Privacy & Cookies
Last updated August 2, 2026
Power Hour App (“we”) lets you build and play custom video playlists. This page explains what we store and the cookies we use. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use advertising.
Responsible use
Power Hour App does not encourage, promote, or endorse the consumption of alcohol. A “power hour” can be enjoyed entirely without drinking, and the app is built to work that way. If you do choose to drink, you must be of legal drinking age where you live — please drink responsibly, know your limits, and never drink and drive. You alone are responsible for how you use the app, and we are not liable for choices made while using it.
Cookies & local storage
We only use cookies and browser storage that are necessary for the app to work or to remember your own choices. Because these are strictly functional, no consent banner is required — but here they are in full:
- Sign-in / session — a secure, HTTP-only cookie that keeps you logged in across the site. Set only after you create an account or sign in.
- Security — our network provider (Cloudflare) sets a cookie to protect the site from abuse and bots.
- Payments — when you open the purchase page, our payment processor (Stripe) sets cookies used only for fraud prevention during checkout.
- Your preferences (stored in your browser’s local storage, not sent to us) — your light/dark theme choice and your in-progress Power Hour draft, so you don’t lose your work if you close the tab.
We use no advertising or marketing cookies.
Embedded YouTube videos
Power Hours play through YouTube’s embedded player. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube does not set cookies until you actually press play on a video. Once you play, YouTube and Google may set their own cookies, which are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. By using the app you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
Information we store
- Account — your email address and display name, used to sign you in and to send account emails (e.g. verification and password reset).
- Your Power Hours — the playlists you save (song references, timings, and settings) so you can replay and edit them.
- Purchases — a record of slot purchases. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
Service providers
We rely on a few third parties to run the app, and share only what each needs to do its job:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — sending account emails.
- YouTube / Google — video search and playback.
- Cloudflare — content delivery and security.
Your choices
You can browse and build a Power Hour without an account. You can clear the cookies and local storage above at any time through your browser settings (signing out and clearing your draft). To access or delete your account data, contact us at the address below.
